PENGARUH BIAYA AGENSI MANAJERIAL, REVENUE VOLATILITY, LIKUIDITAS, DAN LEVERAGE TERHADAP FINANCIAL DISTRESS (STUDI PADA PERUSAHAAN SEKTOR ENERGI YANG TERCATAT DI BURSA EFEK INDONESIA)
This study aims to analyze the effect of managerial agency costs, revenue volatility, liquidity, and leverage on financial distress in energy sector companies. The research showed that there are fluctuations in revenue in energy sector companies in the last five years. The population in this study are energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2021-2023. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, so that out of 87 companies, 55 sample companies were obtained. This research used a quantitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of documentation. The data analysis technique used is panel data regression analysis using Eviews software. The results of this study indicate that managerial agency costs have a positive and insignificant effect on financial distress, revenue volatility does not affect financial distress, liquidity has a significant negative effect on financial distress, and leverage has a significant positive effect on financial distress. Further research is recommended to expand the research population by using data from other sector companies. Furthermore, it can explore the influence of other variables such as the ratio of Return on Asset, Return on Equity, and Total Asset Turnover.
