The Peat Care Independent Village Program (DMPG) is an initiative aimed at improving the sustainability of peatlands while enhancing the livelihoods of surrounding communities. This study aims to (1) identify the characteristics of rubber farmers in Prambatan Village, Abab Subdistrict, Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir Regency, (2) analyze the effect of the DMPG program on the income of rubber farmers, and (3) compare the income levels of rubber farmers before and after participating in the program. The research was conducted using a survey method with census sampling, involving 30 rubber farmers who participated in the DMPG program. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and direct interviews, and the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, multiple linear regression, and paired samples t-test. The results showed that the DMPG program had a significant positive impact on the farmers’ income. Among the influencing factors, land area had a statistically significant effect, while extension, training, and production cost factors showed positive but insignificant effects. The paired t-test revealed a significant difference between farmers' income before and after joining the program. This indicates that the DMPG program plays an important role in increasing the income of rubber farmers and can be a reference for similar programs in other peatland areas.
