PENGARUH BIOCHAR KULIT SINGKONG (Manihot esculenta Crantz) SEBAGAI ADSORBEN PADA LIMBAH CAIR FOSFAT DAN SUMBANGANNYA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI SMA
Research has been conducted on the effect of cassava peel biochar (Manihot esculenta Crantz) as an adsorbent in phosphate wastewater. The research was conducted using an artificial phosphate solution dissolved from KH2PO4. This study aims to determine the comparison of phosphate concentration before and after the use of cassava peel biochar as an adsorbent on phosphate concentration and to determine the effect of cassava peel biochar as an adsorbent on phosphate concentration. This research method is an experimental research with a completely randomized design consisting of five treatments and four repetitions. The treatment is a variation of contact time consisting of P0 (0 minutes) as control, P1 (15 minutes), P2 (30 minutes), P3 (45 minutes), P4 (60 minutes), and P5 (90 minutes) with an adsorbent mass of 1 gram of cassava peel biochar. Analysis of research data using One-Way ANOVA test and BJND further test. The test results showed that adsorption using cassava peel biochar at a contact time 60 minutes gave the best results for reducing phosphate concentration with an average value of final phosphate concentration of 1,063 mg/L, which was able to absorb 0,18 mg/g, and absorption efficiency reached 89,37%. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that cassava peel biochar as an adsorbent affects the decrease in phosphate concentration. The results of the study were utilized in the form of LKPD in biology learning class X phase E with environmental change material. Keywords: Biochar, Cassava Peel, Adsorben, Adsorption, Phosphate
