ANALISIS FISIKA DARI HYDROGEL PVA EKSTRAK CHAMOMILE/LAVENDER MENGGUNAKAN FREEZE-THAW METHODOLOGY UNTUK APLIKASI ACNE TREATMENT SEBAGAI KONTRIBUSI PADA MATA KULIAH EKSPERIMEN FISIKA LANJUT
Acne vulgaris occurs due to excess oil production that clogs the pores of the skin. One method to overcome this is with hydrogel technology. This study developed a PVA/Chamomile/Lavender composite hydrogel using the freeze-thaw method to obtain the optimal base gel as an acne patch. The results of the microscopy characterization showed a porous structure with a varied pore size distribution. FTIR analysis confirmed the existence of the typical functional groups of PVA, Chamomile, and Lavender. XRD characterization shows diffraction peaks at 2θ: 14.45°, 21.55°, 21.56°, 38.45°, 38.50°, 44.65°, 44.66°, and 44.71°. Based on the results of testing and data analysis, this hydrogel has potential in the application of acne patches for acne treatment because of its physical and chemical properties that support topical use. Keywords: Acne, hydrogel, PVA, freeze-thaw, acne patch.
