ANALISIS PERMINTAAN PANGAN HEWANI DI PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN
Animal food is one of the primary needs because it contains nutrients that are needed by the human body. The level of animal food consumption in a region is often associated with the socioeconomic conditions of the people in that region. This study aims to (1) Analyze the trend of animal food demand in South Sumatra Province, and (2) Analyze the factors that influence animal food demand in South Sumatra Province. This study was conducted in November 2023 in South Sumatra Province. The research method used is the historical method and the data used is secondary data. The results of this study are (1) The trend of demand for animal food types of beef, broiler meat, and catfish from 2008 to 2022 has a positive trend. It is predicted that the demand for animal food types of beef in 2023 to 2025 will be 0,595 kg/capita, 0.638 kg/capita, and 0.685 kg/capita. The demand for animal food types of broiler meat in 2023 to 2025 will be 7,507 kg/capita, 7.970 kg/capita and 8.454 kg/capita. The demand for catfish from 2023 to 2025 is 4,161 kg/capita, 4.441 kg/capita, 4.748 kg/capita. (2) The demand for beef in South Sumatra Province is influenced by the factors of real price of beef, real price of cooking oil and population, Demand for broiler chicken meat is influenced by the real price of catfish, the real price of cooking oil and population. While the demand for catfish in South Sumatra Province is influenced by the factors of cooking oil price and population.
