ANALISIS POTENSI DAERAH RAWAN KEKERINGAN DI KABUPATEN OGAN ILIR DENGAN PEMANFAATAN SISTEM INFORMASI GEOGRAFIS (SIG)
Indonesia, as a tropical country, has a high potential for experiencing drought disasters, especially during the dry season. Drought is a disaster that significantly impacts the agricultural sector and water availability. Ogan Ilir Regency in South Sumatra is known as one of the rubber-producing regions and is also affected by this condition. Prolonged drought has the potential to reduce agricultural productivity and disrupt the welfare of communities that rely on this sector. This study employs the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method combined with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to analyze drought potential based on five parameters: rainfall, slope, soil type, land use, and distance to rivers. The results show that Ogan Ilir Regency is predominantly categorized as having low drought potential, covering approximately 123,271 hectares or 61.47% of the total area. The moderate drought potential area covers about 73,521 hectares or 36.66% of the total area, while the high drought potential area is very limited, covering only around 3,743 hectares or 1.87% of the total area.
