This research aims to determine the role of housewives in the home industry in meeting the needs of families in Sungai Pinang village. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research type. Data collection methods used interview and observation methods with research subjects of two bolu kojo entrepreneurs and two soft cracker entrepreneurs. The research results obtained were that all housewives had income from the bolu kojo and soft cracker business because the income they earned could be used to help their husbands' income to meet their family's economic needs. The family's income is sufficient for the family's needs according to the income received daily from the income of the husband and housewife who work in the home industry of bolu kojo and soft crackers. If they combine their income a day, they can earn around Rp. 150,000 to Rp. 200,000 per day. Family health needs are met such as the existence of health facilities such as health centers that are easy to reach, every family also has a BPJS card. Children's educational needs are met, including the need for clothing and school equipment and access for children to school because most parents already have their own vehicles, so the need for transportation to school has been met. Children can go to school according to their age and current level of education. The family's food needs are met in terms of the type of food they consume every day, such as side dishes served containing high protein, such as fish and eggs, as well as accompanying vegetables and drinking milk in the morning.
