KEEFEKTIFAN MEME TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MENULIS TEKS ANEKDOT PADA PESERTA DIDIK KELAS X DI SMA NEGERI 16 PALEMBANG
This study aims to test the effectiveness of using meme media in learning to write anecdotal texts for class X students at State High School 16 Palembang. The method used in this study is Quasi Experimental Design. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class (X.4) with 35 students who were given treatment in the form of using memes, and the control class (X.3) with 35 students who used conventional methods. Data collection was carried out through test techniques, while data analysis used the t-test through the SPSS 25 program. The results of the study showed differences in results between the experimental class and the control class. The average pre-test score in both classes was 54.00, but after treatment, the average post-test score in the experimental class increased to 86.71, while the control class only reached 74.57. Thus, the increase in scores in the experimental class by 32.71 was higher than the control class which only increased by 20.57. The results of the t-test calculation show that t count is greater than t table (4.165 > 1.995) at a 95% confidence level with df 68. This proves that the use of memes has a positive effect on the ability to write anecdotal texts of class X students at State High School 16 Palembang
