VARIASI GENETIK CEPHALOPACHUS BANCANUS ASAL PULAU BANGKA DAN BELITUNG BERDASARKAN ANALISIS GEN PENANDA CYTOCHROME-B
Tarsiers from the Western Tarsier group, especially the Cephalopachus bancanus ssp.. bancanus which live on Bangka Island with Vulnerable conservation status and Cephalopachus bancanus ssp. saltator on Belitung Island with Endangered conservation status receives less attention and genetic conservation efforts are still limited. Geographic isolation can be a differentiating factor between subspecies. Therefore, conservation efforts are needed by analyzing the genetic variations of the two subspecies using the Cytochrome-B marker gene. The primers used are references from previous research by Zahidin, namely Primer GLUD-GL (F) and Primer CB2H (R). Based on the analysis carried out, the Cytochrome-B marker gene succeeded in amplifying twelve Cephalopachus bancanus samples originating from Bangka and Belitung Islands with base lengths ranging from 470 to 479 bp. The results of the haplotype diversity analysis indicated an Hd value of 0.9 in the twelve samples, which indicates a very high level of genetic variation. Meanwhile, the genetic distance analysis of the twelve samples was in the range of 0.0000%. Keywords: Genetic Variation, Cephalopachus bancanus, Cytochrome-B, Bangka, Belitung
