MODEL DINAMIKA POPULASI SERANGGA PADA TANAMAN TOMAT (Solanum lycopersicum L.) SEBELUM DAN SESUDAH APLIKASI MINYAK ZAITUN DI DESA TANJUNG PERING, KECAMATAN INDRALAYA UTARA
A member of the Solanceae family of horticultural plants is the tomato, or Solanum lycopersicum L. This plant has minerals and vitamins A and C that are very beneficial to health. Along with iron (Fe), which is necessary for the synthesis of red blood cells and haemoglobin, tomatoes also contain calories, fat, protein, and carbohydrates. Lime and phosphorus are particularly helpful in the development of bones and teeth. The goal of this study is to ascertain the dynamics of the insect population on tomatoes in Tanjung Pering Village and to gather information that will be used to model the insect population dynamics on tomatoes following the application of olive oil using the Simile programme. With 27 predators and 160 pests, the study's findings indicated that there were 187 individuals of insects in the population prior to the application of olive oil. After the olive oil was applied, there were 101 tails of insects overall, 19 predators, and 82 pests. After applying olive oil to the tomatoes in the field, it is evident that the number of pests has drastically dropped. The dynamics of insect populations, or the rise and fall of populations in tomato fields following the application of olive oil, were then calculated by processing the data and modelling the dynamics of insect populations.
