Accountability of Perpetrators of the Crime of Detention via Social Media Facebook in Decision Number 110/Pid.B/2021/PN SLW. The background for writing this thesis is that there is a desire to fulfill life's needs in the material sector (property crime) which often occurs is the criminal act of holding two-wheeled vehicles originating from the proceeds of crime. Furthermore, it is said that the crime of interception is that there is an act of people buying and selling two-wheeled vehicles, which can also be done through social media on the Facebook application, resulting from one of the theft activities which causes the two-wheeled vehicles to not have documents (complete documents). Where is the formulation of the problem in this research: (1) What is the judge's consideration in imposing a criminal sentence on the perpetrator of the crime of detention via social media Facebook in sentence Number 110/Pid.B/2021/PN SLW. (2) What is the form of accountability for perpetrators of criminal acts of detention via social media Facebook in decision number 110/Pid B/2021/PN SLW. This research uses normative legal methods which are qualitative and descriptive. Therefore, the results of this research are to find out the judge's considerations obtained from an established regulation and to gain confidence that a criminal act really occurred and to make a polite promise, to have never been punished, and to admit and regret his actions so that his conviction is considered an effort to improve himself. the criminal, then he will be held accountable for violating Article 480 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code with a prison sentence of 5 months. The prison sentence has been punished for what he did when he was legally proven to have committed the crime of arrest. Key words: accountability, buying and selling, criminal acts of detention
