DETERMINAN CURAHAN TENAGA KERJA USAHATANI PADI TERAPUNG RAWA LEBAK BERBASIS KEARIFAN LOKAL DI DESA ULAK AURSTANDING KECAMATAN PEMULUTAN SELATAN
Labor allocation refers to the amount of labor used in farming activities. Local wisdom is a cultural practice adapted to regional conditions, such as floating seedbed techniques, which accommodate the water conditions around agricultural land. This study aims to: (1) Determine the amount of labor allocation in floating rice farming in the Lebak swamp of Ulak Aurstanding Village, South Pemulutan District, Ogan Ilir Regency; (2) Identify the factors influencing labor allocation in floating rice farming in the Lebak swamp of Ulak Aurstanding Village, South Pemulutan District, Ogan Ilir Regency; (3) Explore the local wisdom practices in floating rice farming in the Lebak swamp of Ulak Aurstanding Village, South Pemulutan District, Ogan Ilir Regency. This research was conducted from October to December 2024 using a survey method with a non-probability sampling technique through snowball sampling, involving 30 rice farmers as respondents. Data were collected through interviews and questionnaires, processed using Microsoft Excel 2019 and SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science). The study results indicate: (1) Local wisdom in rice farming covers land preparation, seed procurement, planting, maintenance, and post-harvest stages. A unique local practice in Ulak Aurstanding Village is the floating seedbed technique, which utilizes natural resources from the surrounding environment. (2) The total labor allocation is 69,72 HOK/lg/year, with family labor contributing 32,30 HOK/lg/year and external labor contributing 37.42 HOK/lg/year; (3) Significant factors affecting labor allocation include age, farming experience, and land size.
