Background: The family is the smallest unit in society which is the entry point in efforts to achieve optimal public health, in the family many health problems arise, one of which is Gout Arthritis. Gout Arthritis is high levels of uric acid in the blood, the signs and symptoms are stiffness and joint pain. Gout arthritis pain can be given non-pharmacological therapy, namely a combination of effleurage massage techniques and warm lemongrass compresses. Objective: To provide Combination Therapy of effleurage massage techniques and warm lemongrass compresses for pain and reducing gout arthritis levels in gout arthritis sufferers. Method: The method used in this writing is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach on three clients managed with gout arthritis pain. Results: Data obtained from the three clients managed have a major nursing problem, namely chronic pain. The intervention given to the clients managed is effleurage massage technique with an intervention duration of 10 minutes and warm lemongrass compress with an intervention duration of 15 minutes. The results of the provision of effleurage massage technique intervention and warm lemongrass compress showed that the three clients' pain levels decreased as evidenced by the three clients saying that the pain was reduced, they could feel relaxed joints, and the levels of gout arthritis in the three clients decreased. Conclusion: Effleurage massage technique and warm lemongrass compress were given to the three clients as complementary therapy to reduce pain and decrease gout arthritis levels. This is because of the body's physiological response, namely increased blood flow, muscle relaxation, can reduce pain due to muscle spasm stiffness, and reduce gout arthritis levels.
