ANALISIS POTENSI BAHAYA GEMPA BUMI DI KOTA PAGAR ALAM DENGAN MEMANFAATKAN SISTEM INFORMASI GEOGRAFIS (SIG)
Pagar Alam City, located in South Sumatra Province, lies within a region influenced by tectonic plate movements, making it susceptible to tectonic earthquakes. This study aims to map and analyze areas with earthquake hazard potential in Pagar Alam City using a Geographic Information System (GIS). GIS is a system designed to manage spatial data based on geographic coordinates. The analysis reveals that the Peak Ground Acceleration (PGA) values range from 0.27 g to 0.46 g, with the highest PGA values found in the southern and southwestern regions of Pagar Alam City. These areas, including the South Dempo and Central Dempo districts, are susceptible to strong earthquake shocks.
