ANALISIS HARGA JUAL MINIMUM KARET DALAM MEMENUHI KEBUTUHAN BIAYA HIDUP BERDASARKAN PENDAPATAN PETANI DI DESA SUKAMULYA KECAMATAN LEMPUING KABUPATEN OGAN KOMERING ILIR.
Rubber farming plays a crucial role in the economy of Sukamulya Village, Lempuing District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. Rubber plants have a major contribution to national economic growth. In addition to being a source of foreign exchange, this commodity also opens up job opportunities, increases competitiveness, and provides added value to the agricultural sector. However, in recent times, rubber has become a public concern because income from rubber farming has decreased significantly. The sampling method used is the simple random sampling method. The number of samples taken is 40 out of 360 rubber farmers. This is due to the decline in the selling price of rubber in the market. Low rubber prices have a direct impact on the welfare of farmers, because their income is not enough to meet the needs of a decent living. However, fluctuations in rubber prices have impacted farmers' incomes, raising concerns about their ability to meet the Cost of Living Needs (KHL). This study aims to analyze the minimum selling price of rubber required to sustain farmers' livelihoods by assessing production costs, household expenditures, and income levels. A survey method was used, collecting primary data through structured interviews and secondary data from relevant sources. The results show that the cost of rubber production in Sukamulya Village is Rp 4,194/kg, while the minimum selling price required to meet KHL is Rp 16,765/kg. However, the current average selling price is only Rp 11,600/kg, indicating that most farmers (95%) remain below the welfare threshold. The study concludes that low productivity, high family dependents, and inadequate agricultural practices contribute to farmers' financial struggles. Policy interventions such as price stabilization, productivity enhancement, and income diversification are essential to improving farmers' welfare. Therefore, improving the welfare of rubber farmers in Sukamulya Village requires a more comprehensive and integrated approach, such as increasing productivity, business diversification, financial literacy education, and support through sustainable social protection programs.
