EVALUASI IMPLEMENTASI PESTISIDA OLEH PETANI TANAMAN JAGUNG DI KABUPATEN LAMPUNG TIMUR DAN PENGARUHNYA TERHADAP PENYAKIT, HAMA DAN MUSUH ALAMI
Farmers often rely on pesticides for crop cultivation to ensure optimal plant growth and yield. However, improper pesticide use can have adverse effects on both the environment and human health. The researcher aims to investigate the correlation between corn farmers' compliance with pesticide usage and the incidence and percentage of diseases and pests. Additionally, the study aims to assess the diversity index of the land after pesticide application. This research employs interviews and a questionnaire on pesticide use compliance distributed to corn farmers. Field observations utilize random sampling and were conducted in East Lampung Regency, specifically in Purbolinggo and Way Bungur sub districts. The study involves 30 farmers, 30 observation fields, and 30 plants in each field. Data analysis is performed using Microsoft Excel to process raw data, conduct correlation tests, and generate regression graphs using the Rstudio application. Farmers attained a high compliance score of 298.9, resulting in a medium diversity index for natural enemies. A positive correlation exists between farmer scores and disease percentage and intensity (0.24, coefficient 0.56%, and 0.18, coefficient 0.35%, respectively), indicating a direct proportional relationship. Conversely, there is a negative correlation between farmers' scores and pest percentage and intensity (-0.14, coefficient 0.21%, and -0.16, coefficient 0.29%, respectively), demonstrating an inversely proportional relationship.
