ASSESSMENT AIR POLLUTION TOLERANCE INDEX (APTI) DAN ANTICIPATED PERFORMANCE INDEX (API) PADA BEBERAPA SPESIES POHON DI KAWASAN UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA, INDRALAYA
Sriwijaya University, in carrying out its academic activities, involves the mobilisation of motor vehicles, which has an impact in the form of the generation of pollutants from exhaust emissions. Providing green open space (RTH) through tree planting is one of the efforts to reduce vehicle pollution. The selection of tree species planted to support ecological needs can be assessed for their physiological and socio-economic suitability. The APTI method assessment is carried out by observing plant biochemical parameters combined with API regarding the biological condition and economic value of plants. Ten tree species were assessed including Ficus benjamina L., Swietenia mahagoni (L.) Jacq., Mimusops elengi L., Terminalia catappa L., Terminalia mantaly,L., Pterocarpus indicus Willd., Persea americana Mill., Delonix regia (Bojer ex Hook.) Raf., Polyalthia longifolia Sonn., and Pometia pinnata Forst.
