RESILIENSI KELUARGA DENGAN SALAH SATU ANGGOTA KELUARGA PENGIDAP TUBERKULOSIS DI KOTA PALEMBANG
This study aims to understand how families build and maintain resilience when one of their members is diagnosed with tuberculosis (TB) in Palembang City. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected from 2 key informants, 9 main informants, and 2 supporting informants through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings reveal that family resilience is formed through a gradual process, beginning with conflict and pressure. In terms of the belief system, families experience internal struggles such as shame and fear of stigma, but gradually develop a positive interpretation of the illness as a life test, accompanied by optimism and strengthening spiritual beliefs. Regarding organizational patterns, families demonstrate role flexibility amidst limitations, maintain emotional connectedness despite physical distancing, and adaptively utilize social and economic resources. In the aspect of communication processes, families establish clear and open communication, express emotions without blame, and solve problems through collective efforts.
