ANALISIS TINGKAT ADOPSI TEKNOLOGI USAHATANI PADI DALAM MENGHADAPI BANJIR DI LAHAN PASANG SURUT DI DESA UPANG JAYA KECAMATAN MUARA TELANG KABUPATEN BANYUASIN
One of the challenges in utilizing tidal swamp land is the risk of flooding during high tides or surges. This issue can be addressed by understanding the utilization of technology and the level of technology adoption applied by farmers. The objectives of this research are (1) to analyze the utilization of rice farming technology in flood disaster adaptation efforts, (2) to analyze the level of adoption of rice farming technology and its impact on productivity when a flood occurs, (3) to calculate the difference in rice productivity before and after being affected by floods. The study was conducted in Upang Jaya Village, Muara Telang Subdistrict, Banyuasin Regency. The sampling method used was simple random sampling, and data were collected through direct interviews with 45 rice farmers. The data collected included primary and secondary data. Data processing involved descriptive analysis, simple linear regression, and Paired Sample T-test. The research results indicate that the respondent farmers have utilized technology in flood disaster adaptation efforts on tidal swamp land with three technologies: superior seed varieties, pesticides with the 5 T approach, and water management. The level of technology adoption was measured through eight forms of technology adoption, namely: (1) Tractor, (2) Superior seed varieties, (3) Seedbed seeding, (4) Fertilization with the 5 T approach, (5) Pesticides with the 5 T approach, (6) Water management, (7) Harvesting machine, and (8) Rice milling machine. The results showed that the level of technology adoption in Upang Jaya Village was categorized as high. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that the level of technology adoption significantly influences rice productivity, and if the level of technology adoption is high, rice productivity is also high, and vice versa. The Paired Sample T-test results indicate a significant difference in rice productivity before and after being affected by floods, with a difference of -1.073 tons/ha or (-28.39%). This means that rice productivity decreased when affected by floods.
