FREKUENSI DAN JUMLAH PEMBERIAN PAKAN BERBEDA PADA PRODUKSI CACING SUTRA (Tubifex sp.) MENGGUNAKAN ENDAPAN BUDIDAYA IKAN GABUS SISTEM BIOFLOK
Silkworms (Tubifex sp.) are a natural food with high nutritional content to used to feed fish larvae. Silkworm production must be developed to overcome the dependence on silkworms from nature. The rearing media’s nutritional content determines the success of silkworm production and feeding frequency and amount so that the silkworms grow well. This research aimed to determine the optimal feeding frequency and amount of feed for the growth of silkworms using snakehead fish cultivation sediment. This research used a randomized block design of three treatments and three replications. The treatments given were feeding three times a day (P1), feeding twice a day (P2), and feeding once a day (P3). The results showed that feeding once a day (P3) was the best treatment, which produced a silkworm biomass of 496.47 g m-2, a population density of 531.3 ind g-1, and a daily growth rate of 5.79%. The water qualities measured during the research consisted of two types: when the water pump was on and the water pump was off. When the water pump was turned on, the water qualities were temperature 25 – 280C, pH 5.7 - 6.6, dissolved oxygen 2.0 - 5.0 mg L-1, and ammonia 0.63 - 4.26 mg L-1. When the water pump was turned off, the water qualities were temperature 25-280C, pH 5.0-6.9, dissolved oxygen 2.0-3.8 mg L-1, and ammonia 0.82-4.90 mg L-1.
