PROFIL METABOLIT ANTIDIABETIK DAN ANTOSIANIN BUNGA KENCANA UNGU (RUELLIA TUBEROSA L.)
Minieroot (Ruellia tuberosa L.) is a plant that is widely used as a herbal medicinal plant. Minieroot contain metabolite compounds which have various bioactivities, one of which is an antioxidant. This research aims to determine the content of compounds that have bioactivity as antidiabetics, the abundance of metabolite compounds, antioxidant levels, and anthocyanin levels in minieroot through a non-target metabolomics approach using a GC-MS (Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry) instrument. The analysis results were then traced using the PubChem, KEGG, CheBI, PlantCye and Spectrabase websites. Based on GC-MS analysis, metabolite profile results were obtained which were characterized by differences in the types and abundance of compounds detected. The Minieroot sample had a dominant compound abundance of 91.59%. The total number of compounds detected was 10 compounds, with 3 dominant compounds including 2-Octanol, (S)- (3.52%), 1,2-Benzenedicarboxylic acid, bis(2-methylpropyl) ester: (2.54 % ), and Oxalic acid, cyclobutyl ethyl ester (85.83%) which has bioactivity as antifungal, antioxidant, antimicrobial, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory. The detected compounds came from various classes and various biosynthetic pathways consisting of the acetic acid pathway (6%), shikimic acid pathway (90%), malonic acid pathway (1%), mevalonic acid pathway (1%), and ether pathway ( 1%). The antioxidant ethanol extract of minieroot with the standard antioxidant ascorbic acid is 169.39 ± 46.48 ppm and the standard antioxidant quercetin is 249.25 ± 27.67 ppm. Analysis of the anthocyanin content of Minieroot was 2.6 ± 0.24 ppm. The compound that has an antidiabetic function is the compound 1-Cyclohexylnonene which comes from the alkene class which has been identified as 1.2%. Conclusion: Metabolite compounds from purple gold have potential for developing herbal medicine
