Beluntas (Pluchea indica L.) is a plant belonging to the Asteraceae family and is widely used by the Indonesian people as a herbal medicine. Traditionally, beluntas is widely used to overcome various health problems and can overcome digestive disorders, fever and as an antiseptic because of the content of bioactive compounds such as alkaloids, flavonoids, essential oils and tannins. This study was conducted to determine the content and total abundance of beluntas leaf metabolites using the GC-MS method and determination of antioxidant levels using DPPH (2,2 defenil-1-pikrihidrazil) reagents. The results of GC-MS (Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry) analysis of beluntas leaves (Pluchea indica L.) showed a diversity of metabolite compounds detected in the ethanol extract. The identified compounds are grouped into several classes including carboxylic acids in the form of Propanamide compounds, 2-hydroxy which have acidic properties and are often involved in plant biochemical processes. The ester class in the form of Phthalic acid compounds, cyclobutyl isobutyl ester which can be formed from the reaction between acid and alcohol has a distinctive aroma. In the phenol class, there are compounds 4-Methyl-2,4-bis(p-hydroxyphenyl)pent-1-ene,2TMS derivatives that act as antibacterial, antimicrobial, antioxidant, anticancer, anti-inflammatory and antidiabetic. The ethanol extract of beluntas leaves contains metabolite compounds that are dominant in Propanamide, 2-hydroxy compounds with an abundance of 8.4% and have the potential as antibacterial, insecticide, antifungal, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anticancer. Phthalic acid, cyclobutyl isobutyl ester of 44.23% have the potential as insecticides, antibacterial anticholesterol and antioxidants. 46.37% 4-Methyl-2,4-bis(p-hydroxyphenyl)pent-1-ene, 2TMS derivatives have the potential as antibacterial, antimicrobial, antioxidant, anticancer, anti-inflammatory and antidiabetic. beluntas leaf antioxidants using vitamin C standards of 93.32 ± 4.82 ppm and quercetin 138.52 ± 39.99 ppm. This study shows that the metabolite content has the potential as an antioxidant with a fairly high level. Beluntas leaf metabolite compounds that have the potential as medicine by the community are developed for functional foods and beverages.
