Palm oil (Elaeis guineensis) was an important plantation crop in Indonesia. curly red chilli (Capsicum annuum) was an important vegetable crop in Indonesia. The polyculture cropping pattern of curly red chilli with oil palm is interesting to study. The research was conducted at the palm oil Research Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, from July to October 2023. The research used observation and experimental methods. The research used a Completely Randomised Design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments and 4 replications. Observations were made every week for 12 times. Insects found in C. annum plants were taken and documented using mobile phones. The results showed that the diversity of arthophod species in curly red chilli plants grown in polyculture with palm oil was found to be phytophagous insects, entomophages, pollinators and spiders. The arthropods found were 20 species belonging to 13 families and 6 orders. The 5 species of phytophagous insects, found were Chironomus sp, Cloeon dipterum, Aphis gossypii, Proutista moesta, and Atractomorpha crenulate. The 5 species of entomophagous insects found were Lonchoptera bifurcata, Anoplolepis gracilipes, Dolichoderus thoracicus, Xenomyrmex sp., and Creobroter gemmatus. The insect pollinator found was Baccha elongate. The 9 spiders found were Anelosimus vittatus, Theridion varians, Araneus guttulatus, Metepeira labyrinthea, Oxyopes macilentus, Peckhamia americana, Chikunia nigra, Cheiracanthiidae sp., and Larinioides sclopetarius. The diversity index value of arthropod species in polyculture curly red chilli plants with oil palm was 0.04-1.38. Dominance index values was 0.22-0.63. Evenness index values was 0.02-0.70.
