PENGARUH SENAM HIPERTENSI TERHADAP PENURUNAN TEKANAN DARAH LANSIA DI PUSKESMAS MERDEKA KOTA PALEMBANG
Hypertension exercise is a type of physical activity aimed at improving blood flow and oxygen supply to active muscles and the skeleton, particularly the heart muscle, which can help lower blood pressure. However, during field observation at the Puskesmas Merdeka, the hypertension exercise program is no longer running. This study aims to analyze the effect of hypertension exercise on blood pressure reduction in elderly individuals and the relationship between medication adherence, physical activity, and stress levels on blood pressure reduction in elderly patients at Puskesmas Merdeka in Palembang City. This study uses a quantitative. The sample consists of 33 respondents, elderly patients with hypertension from Puskesmas Merdeka, Palembang City, who met the inclusion criteria and were selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using univariate analysis and bivariate analysis with dependent T-test, Wilcoxon test. The results showed a significant difference in the average systolic and diastolic blood pressure before and after the hypertension exercise, with a p-value of 0.000.
