PENERAPAN VLAN TRUNKING PROTOCOL UNTUK MENGELOLA VLAN PADA SWITCH
The development of communication and information technology is currently growing rapidly. The performance of a network is very necessary, especially in terms of speed in data transmission. VLAN technology works by logically dividing the network into several subnets. LAN is a network in the broadcast domain. The application of the topology consists of three Switches that have different roles, one Switch as a Server to control and manage VLANs and the other two Switches as a Client to receive and forward VLANs to 6 laptops that have different IP Addresses and VLANs made into 3 VLAN IDs, namely 10, 20, 30 connected by Ethernet cables and testing and then sending data with different time speeds on VLAN 10 and then experiencing the same on VLAN 20 and VLAN 30 this is due to the network connection during testing. The process of applying the VTP virtual trunking protocol to VLANs using a Switch has been successfully implemented properly in this research. Analysis conducted previously, to create and remove VLANs only needed on one switch server and the results were in accordance with those applied.
