CAMBRIDGE TEACHERS' PERCEPTION ON THE INTEGRATION OF CAMBRIDGE CURRICULUM AND MERDEKA CURRICULUM AT SMA NEGERI 1 PALEMBANG
The aims of this study were to find out the factors in the perceptions of the integrated curriculums and how are the Cambridge teachers’ English abilities as part of these curriculums. The participants of the study were Cambridge Teachers’ at SMA Negeri 1 Palembang. A qualitative research design was used in this research. In order to collect the data, a survey of questionnaires with an extension answer was implemented in order to get an in depth description and picture of the views of the Cambridge teachers. To analyze the data, this research used thematic analysis to determine their perceptions and English abilities. The findings indicated that there were positive views which are the project factors and institutional factors and negative views which are the psychological factors, time management factors, teachers factors, and students factors. Another finding were the English abilities they have and issues that they have encountered which are the speaking skills (80%), listening skills (52%), writing skills (40%) and reading skills (45%).
