This research was aimed at finding out the English Education Study Program students’ perceptions of the PPG program and their interest in becoming a teacher. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey design. The participants of the study were 70 students of English Education Study Program class of 2020, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sriwijaya University. The data were collected using questionnaire. The results showed that the students of English Education Study Program class of 2020 have a high or good perception of the Teacher Professional Education (PPG) program with a percentage of 78%, and the interest of students of English Education Study Program class of 2020 to become a teacher is 70% with a moderately interested category which indicates that they were familiar with and knew as well as understood about the PPG program but their interest in becoming teachers is in moderately interested category.
