DINAMIKA K, Ca, DAN Mg TANAH PADA LAHAN PASCA TERBAKAR DI DESA RIMAU SUNGSANG, KECAMATAN BANYUASIN II, KABUPATEN BANYUASIN
Forest and land fires are common phenomena in Indonesia, especially during the dry season. The aim of this study was to examine the dynamics of soil K, Ca, and Mg in fire-affected area. This research was conducted in Rimau Sungsang Village, Banyuasin II Sub-district, Banyuasin District, South Sumatra. The types of land were classified into (1) Unburned Area (UB), (2) Burned Area (B0), (3) Burned 2019 and Planted with Oil Palm in 2023 (B1), (4) Burned 2019 Planted with Oil Palm in 2020 (B2). The results of this study indicated that fires did not significantly affect the soil K, Ca, and Mg. However, burned area tended to have lower base content compared to the burned area. Additionally, planted area showed a correction in soil K, Ca, and Mg approaching that of unburned area, whereas oil palm planting actually caused a decrease in soil K, Ca, and Mg, and the increase in oil palm age was followed by a further decline in these nutrient levels.
