EVALUASI DAN PERANCANGAN MITIGASI NILAI HARMONIK PADA SISTEM KELISTRIKAN GEDUNG PT.PLN NUSANTARA POWER MUARA KARANG
The quality of electrical power in the distribution system can be disturbed by harmonics, especially in installations with non-linear electronic equipment. This study was conducted at the PLN NP UP Muara Karang Building which uses loads such as LED lights and various electronic devices such as computers, laptops, printers, etc. that have the potential to produce harmonics. Initial measurement results showed that the THDi value reached 43.56%, exceeding the IEEE 519-2014 standard limit. System modeling and analysis were carried out using ETAP 19.0.1 software. To reduce harmonics, a passive filter was designed that focused on dominant order harmonics. Simulation results showed that after installing the filter, THDi decreased to 21.21% and THDv to 1.39%. In addition, the current decreased by around ±13 A, reactive power and apparent power also decreased, active power did not change significantly because it was not directly affected by harmonics. The system voltage increased by an average of ±0.30%, and the power factor improved to around 99%. This proves that harmonic mitigation can improve the quality of the power distribution system.
