IDENTIFIKASI JAMUR RHIZOSFIR YANG DIISOLASI DARI AKAR TANAMAN DUKU DAN ANTAGONISNYA TERHADAP PATOGEN CERATOCYSTIS PENYEBAB PENYAKIT LAYU TANAMAN DUKU
Ceratocystis sp. is a pathogen from the group of fungi that causes wilt disease in duku plants, resulting in significant losses if control measures are not implemented to prevent the spread and development of this pathogen. Antagonistic fungi are microorganisms capable of suppressing the development of pathogens and can be used as biological agents in controlling Ceratocystis sp. The presence of antagonistic fungi can be easily found in nature, such as in the rhizosphere of plants. The objective of this research is to identify rhizosphere fungal species with the ability to suppress Ceratocystis sp. and the antagonistic mechanisms employed. The study was conducted in the Phytopathology Laboratory of the Department of Plant Pests and Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sriwijaya. It utilized a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with eight treatments, consisting of fungal isolates from the rhizosphere of duku plants, and carried out in five replications, resulting in a total of 40 experimental units. Observations were made by directly examining the growth of rhizosphere fungi on different media, the inhibitory capacity of each fungal isolate in suppressing Ceratocystis sp., and the antagonistic mechanisms used, observed macroscopically based on antagonism test results and microscopically based on hyphal interaction test results
