PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN SINBIOTIK KULIT NANAS (Ananas comosus) DAN DAUN Indigofera zollingeriana TERHADAP KUALITAS KARKAS DAN INCOME OVER FEED COST AYAM BROILER LOHMANN MB-202
The need for broilers continues to increase every year due to public awareness in fulfilling nutritional values. Feed is one of the determining factors for the success of broiler farming, so many farmers use antibiotic growth promoters (AGP) to make feed use more efficient. The use of antibiotic growth promoters (AGP) has negative side effects for consumers. One of the substitutes for using antibiotic growth promoters (AGP) is using synbiotics. Synbiotics are a combination of probiotics and prebiotics that function to optimize the digestive tract. There are many kinds of synbiotics, one of which uses pineapple peel and indigofera leaves fermented using lactic acid bacteria (LAB) derived from yogurt. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving pineapple peel and indigofera leaf synbiotics on carcass quality and income over feed cost of broiler chickens. This research was conducted in October - November 2024 for 28 days in the Poultry House of the Department of Animal Husbandry Technology and Industry, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The design used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments and 4 replicates. The treatments used in this study were as follows: P0 = Basal ration (without synbiotics), P1 = Basal ration added 0.5% synbiotic fermented pineapple peel and indigofera leaves, P2 = Basal ration added 1% synbiotic fermented pineapple peel and indigofera leaves, P3 = Basal ration added 1.5% synbiotic fermented pineapple peel and indigofera leaves, and P4 = Basal ration added 2% synbiotic fermented pineapple peel and indigofera leaves. The results of this study had a significant effect on final weight and no significant effect on carcass percentage, abdominal fat, and income over feed cost. The final weight value in this study ranged from 1301.75-1600.25. The carcass percentage value in this study ranged from 71.09%-77.31%. The abdominal fat percentage value in this study ranged from 1.04-1.35%. The value of income over feed cost in this study ranged from Rp 10,993.50-17,730.50/head. The conclusion of this study is that the provision of pineapple peel and indigofera leaf synbiotics in the ration has a significant effect (P 0.05) on the percentage of carcass, abdominal fat, and income over feed cost of broiler chickens.
