This research is to determine how much to analyze the effect of Net Export and Foreign Direct Investment on Trade Openness in ASEAN countries. The data used is secondary data sourced from the World Bank. The analysis technique in this study uses panel data analysis method with Fixed Effect Model estimation. The results of this study suggest that the Net Export variable is negative but has a significant effect on Trade Openness, which means that the Net Export variable is good enough to increase Trade Openness, but Net Export can reduce national income, this can happen because the total export value is smaller than the total import value. However, in the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) variable, the results are positive but do not have a significant influence on Trade Openness, this can occur because international trade tariffs in some countries in ASEAN are quite low when compared to other countries, but the factors that become obstacles to carrying out international trade activities are import quotas and import licenses that are quite complicated.
