PERBANDINGAN KONFIGURASI DUA MATRIKS DATA PRODUKSI BUAH CERI HIJAU KOPI ROBUSTA DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN ANALISIS PROCRUSTES
Indonesia is the 5th largest coffee producing country in the world after Brazil, Vietnam, Columbia, and Ethiopia with a total contribution of 5%. Coffee production results can depend on the characteristics of tree branches and land maintenance. The purpose of this study was to describe the characteristics of coffee trees in 2 areas with different maintenance management, namely Ismail's land and Wahid's land in Pagar Alam, South Sumatra. The data matrix from both areas includes the number of primary branches, secondary branches, tertiary branches, total fruit, and the number of fruits on each branch from 30 coffee tree samples on each land. The data matrix from both areas is represented graphically through biplot analysis. Furthermore, the biplot results on the data matrices of Ismail's land and Wahid's land were compared using Procrustes analysis. The results of the biplot analysis on Ismail's land showed that the number of primary branches was strongly correlated with the number of fruits on primary branches. While the results of the biplot analysis on Wahid's land showed that the number of tertiary branches was strongly correlated with the number of fruits on tertiary branches. Based on the Procrustes analysis, a comparison of the similarity between the 2 data matrices was obtained including the translation process of 1.449, the rotation process of 0.191, and the dilation process of 0.180, so that a similarity measure of 83.7% was obtained. This provides information that there is a similarity between the biplot of the production of green cherries of robusta coffee on 2 lands with different maintenance management.
