Maize Zea mays (L.) is a crop that has an important role in meeting human food needs in various countries. The presence of plant pest organisms such as Spodoptera frugiperda (J.E. Smith) can reduce the productivity of corn crops. Control with pesticides can cause pest mortality and kill predatory arthropods. Predatory arthropods are natural enemies of pests in corn plants. In addition to predatory arthropods, pest control in corn can be done by the endophytic fungus Beauveria bassiana (Bals.) Vuill.This research was conducted in the research field of the Department of Plant Pests and Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The area of corn planting is 600m2. The research was conducted from March to September 2023. The research used Randomized Group Design (RAK) and sampling method. The sampling tools used were insect nets and cell phone cameras. Sampling was conducted on plants aged 14, 21, 28, 35, 42, 49, 56, 63, and 70 days after planting. The arthropods that were successfully found were then identified using a macroscope with an optilab tool and using a determination key book, picture insect application: Bug Identifier and documented using an android phone camera, namely the original camera application and the time stamp application.The results showed that the impact of endophytic fungi on the abundance of predatory arthropods in the corn canopy in total results had no impact or was not significant. The results showed that the proportion of abundance of predatory arthropods in the crown of corn plants based on the highest direct observation was odonates which dominated in the control treatment 80%, roots 70%, seeds 69% and leaves 81%, while indirect observation was coleoptera in the control treatment 41%, roots 44%, and leaves 48%, then odonates in the seed treatment 46%. The highest species diversity H' was found in the root treatment 1.68. The species evenness index was highest in the leaf treatment at 0.76. The highest species dominance index value in the control treatment was 0.73. Species diversity using insect nets was highest in the leaf treatment at 2.53. The species evenness index of all treatments was high. The dominance index of all treatments (control, root, seed, and leaf) was classified as dominant species. The conclusion of this study is the impact of endophytic fungi on the abundance of predatory arthropods in the corn canopy in total the results are not impacted / insignificant, the highest diversity in direct observation is found in the root treatment while the highest diversity in indirect observation is found in the leaf treatment.
