SISTEM PENGELOLAAN ADMINISTRASI ASET KAMPUS MENGGUNAKAN BLOCKCHAIN BERBASIS PROOF-OF-AUTHORITY
The Faculty of Computer Science at Sriwijaya University still employs a semi-digital system for asset management, which is prone to recording errors and lacks transparency. This research aims to develop a blockchain-based campus asset administration system using the Proof-of-Authority (PoA) consensus mechanism to enhance security, efficiency, transparency, and accountability. The methodology used is the Design Science Research Methodology (DSRM), which consists of six stages: problem identification, defining solution objectives, artifact design and development, demonstration, evaluation, and communication of results. The system is designed using smart contracts on a private blockchain network based on PoA to computerize the processes of asset recording, tracking, maintenance, and disposal. Functional testing through Remix IDE and the results of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with asset administration staff indicate that the system successfully manages asset administration in an integrated, consistent manner and performs well according to user needs. Moreover, the PoA consensus shows faster finality time (8.588 seconds) compared to Proof-of-Stake (PoS) (13.548 seconds), and significantly lower transaction costs (
