ANALISIS PELAKSANAAN INVESTIGASI KONTAK TUBERKULOSIS DENGAN PENDEKATAN 5M DI KOMUNITAS MASYARAKAT SEHAT SRIWIJAYA KOTA PALEMBANG
Contact investigation is an initial strategy in the management of tuberculosis towards the elimination of TB by 2030. Community involvement is crucial in accessing screening, treatment, and prevention of TB. A recap of the Healthy Community data in Sriwijaya, Palembang shows many cases that have not yet been investigated during the last quarter, namely July, August, and September 2024. This study analyzes the implementation of contact investigation using the 5M approach by Harrington Emerson. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document reviews. The informants consisted of 3 key informants (program managers, Community DPPM case managers, and cadre coordinators) and 9 main informants (3 health cadres, 3 TB patients, and 3 household contacts of patients). The research results show that the implementation of TB contact investigation in the Healthy Community of Sriwijaya, Palembang City, is not optimal, due to facing obstacles in the distribution of indices for each cadre, logistical distribution challenges, technical reporting issues, and rejection due to societal stigma. Therefore, there is a need to optimize the supporting system and strengthen education and active participation from various parties to enhance the effectiveness of tuberculosis prevention and control programs. The study's recommendation is to provide strategically located logistical distribution points and to collaborate with community activities in performing TB screening and education to increase the coverage of investigated cases and reduce stigma against TB patients.
