KAJIAN KUALITAS AIR EMBUNG PADA KAWASAN NILAI KONSERVASI TINGGI (NKT) DI PERKEBUNAN PT WAIMUSI AGROINDAH, KABUPATEN OGAN KOMERING ILIR, PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN
Embung is a location for excavating soil from plantations at PT Waimusi Agroindah which is used by local residents as a source of water for activities and as a place for the company's conservation so that the natural ecosystem around the plantation is maintained. The reservoir can also be used as a place to store water in the rainy season so that it does not flood and is used in the dry season as the availability of clean water. Therefore, the importance of assessing the quality of Embung water for the lives of living beings and companies. One of the methods used in water quality assessment is to conduct an assessment of the Water Pollution Index (IPA) and the Water Quality Index (IKA). This research was carried out at the Telor Island Reservoir of PT Waimusi Agroindah, Mesuji Raya District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, South Sumatra Province and the analysis activities will be carried out at the Laboratory of the Environmental Health Engineering Center (BTKL) Palembang, South Sumatra. The purpose of this study is to determine the status of water quality pollution in the Telor Island Reservoir of PT Waimusi Agroindah based on Government regulations. This research activity will be carried out from December 2024 to January 2025. This research was carried out using a quantitative descriptive method by comparing water quality parameters with the Maximum Quality Standard (KM) of the National Water Quality Standard Class II PPRI No. 22/2021 and then matched with the Minister of Environment and Forestry Regulation No.27/2021. The result of this study is that each sampling point has different results according to water conditions so that parameters that are not in accordance with the quality standards of Maximum Levels (KM) class II, namely the Potential Hydrogen (pH) and Dissolved Oxygen (DO) parameters, this is due to the water condition factors taken during the day and the rainy season which make the pH of the water low so that it affects the DO value, for the results of the classification of the Water Quality Index (IKA) based on the Minister of Environment and Forestry Regulation No.27/2021 included in the Good category according to class II quality standards with a quality value of 70.00.
