The research with the title Motives of Students Following the Package C Education Program at the Palembang City Sanggar Kegiatan Belajar (SPNF SKB) Non-Formal Education Unit aims to describe the cause motives and purpose motives of students following the package C education program at SPNF SKB. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Determination of informants by purposive. Types and sources of data obtained through primary data and secondary data with collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation and documentation. The data collected was then analyzed. The results showed that there were three main factors that became the motive for students to join the Paket C program, namely: (1) Economic factors, where financial limitations prevent students from continuing their education in formal schools; (2) Social and environmental factors, including family encouragement, peers, and environmental conditions that are less conducive to formal education; and (3) Personal and psychological motivation factors, where students have a desire to improve their future and increase self-confidence. Meanwhile, the motives of students' goals in joining Paket C at SPNF SKB Palembang include (1) The desire to work, where a Paket C certificate is needed to get a better job; and (2) The desire to find skills, because this program provides various skills training such as automotive, sewing, and computer which can be a provision in the world of education.
