PENGARUH PERMAINAN BALOK TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN SOSIAL EMOSIONAL ANAK USIA 5-6 TAHUN DI TK ISLAM AZ-ZAHRAH PALEMBANG
Children's social emotional abilities play a crucial role in their lives, because through this aspect, children can learn to adapt to their surroundings. Methods to stimulate social emotional abilities can be done by playing block games. The purpose of the study was to see whether block games can affect the social emotional abilities of children aged 5-6 years. This approach uses a quantitative pre-experimental quasi-experimental design of the non-equivalent control group design type. The social emotional abilities of children aged 5-6 years were measured based on four main indicators, namely the ability to work together, have empathy, obey rules, and control themselves. This study used two samples totaling 28 children. The data collected using observation techniques in the form of checklist sheets and documentation. The t test shows that the results of the data analysis obtained are t count = 2.662, while t table (dk) = 26 with a significance of 0.05 is 2.056. The results above show that t count > t table (2.662 > 2.056), so it can be stated that H₀ is rejected and Hα is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that block games have an effect on the development of social emotional abilities of children aged 5-6 years at Az-Zahrah Islamic Kindergarten, Palembang.
