PENERAPAN PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA BERBASIS ETNOMATEMATIKA KONTEKS RUMAH LIMAS BERBANTUAN MATH CITY MAP UNTUK MELIHAT KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA MTS MARFU’AH PALEMBANG
This study aims to investigate students' critical thinking skills by applying the topic of three-dimensional geometry, specifically cubes, rectangular prisms, and cylinders, using an ethnomathematics approach focused on the context of Rumah Limas. The learning media used in this study is Math City Map, which allows students to relate mathematical concepts to real-life situations around them. Through this approach, it is expected that students will better understand and apply three-dimensional geometry concepts in their daily lives. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with the subjects being ninth-grade students at MTs Marfu’ah Palembang. Data were collected through tests, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the implementation of Math City Map based on ethnomathematics can enhance students' critical thinking skills, as evidenced by improvements in the indicators of interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference. The majority of students were classified in the high and medium categories; however, some students still require further guidance.
