PENERAPAN PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS COMPUTATIONAL THINKING PADA MATA PELAJARAN MATEMATIKA MATERI PERBANDINGAN SENILAI KELAS VII
Computational thinking is very important for students to have in solving problems. Realizing the importance of this, computational thinking is included in the PISA 2021 framework to improve problem-solving and mathematical reasoning skills. However, the computational thinking skills of students in Indonesia are still relatively low. This study aims to see the computational thinking skills of students based on indicators of decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithmic thinking after the implementation of computational thinking-based learning with the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model, especially on the material of comparative value. The subjects of this study were 31 grade VII students at SMP Negeri 56 Palembang in the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. Data were obtained through tests and interviews. The results of the study showed that students' computational thinking skills were at a moderate level. Furthermore, this study tested students' abilities in several aspects of computational thinking. The findings show that computational thinking-based learning can help students design and develop structured and systematic problem-solving strategies.
