This research aims to analyze and study in depth the impact of the Simpang Sekip Flyover Construction on the social and economic conditions of local traders. The research method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques in this research being interviews, observation and documentation. Determining informants in this research used interview techniques. The informants in this research were traders around the Simpang Sekip Fly Over Construction. The results of this research are the impact of the Fly Over Construction on local entrepreneurs and traders, namely that their sales turnover decreased, there were shophouses that eventually closed, such as Thai Tea 555 and Soto Kampus. However, one informant admitted that it did not have a big influence or impact on his business such as the Fruit Juice business. The owner of the Fruit Juice admitted that the existence of the Fly Over building did not have a negative impact on him because he admitted that the Fruit Juice he sold was in great demand by the people of Palembang. So he doesn't worry that if he ends up moving location, buyers will still come to the place he sells.
