ANALISIS KUALITAS PERAIRAN DI SUNGAI KOMERING KABUPATEN OGAN KOMERING ILIR UNTUK BUDIDAYA IKAN SISTEM KERAMBA
The Komering River is a flowing freshwater ecosystem with a diversity of constituent organisms and is an aquatic ecosystem that is beneficial for aquatic animals and human needs. Most people use the Komering River for fish farming using a cage system. However, pollution from various activities around the area is expected to affect river water quality. Water quality is an absolute requirement that needs attention. This study aimed to determine the river's physical, chemical, and biological conditions and evaluate the feasibility of water quality for fish farming using cage systems. This research was conducted in the Komering River area, Arisan Buntal Village, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, from December 2022 to April 2023. The results showed that several parameters exceed the threshold for class III water quality standards based on government regulation no 22 of 2021: BOD 10.25-12.92 mgL-1 and total coliform bacteria 32.000 MPN/100 mL. At the same time, the temperature is 27.5-29.8ºC, total dissolved solids 680-720 mgL-1, turbidity 690-695 NTU, depth 5-6.5 meters, current speed 0.45-0.48 m sec-1, pH 7.1-7.5, dissolved oxygen 6.5-7.2 mgL-1, ammonia 0.011-0.016 mg L-1, phosphate 0.104-0.107 mgL-1. Based on the results of the Storet method, the water quality status of the Komering River at Arisan Buntal Village is in the class D category. It is heavily polluted, with a score of -50.
