IDENTIFIKASI ARTHROPODA PADA TANAMAN TOMAT (Solanum lycopersicum) DENGAN PENGARUH NAUNGAN TANAMAN AREN (Arenga pinnata) DI DESA ULAK SEGELUNG, OGAN ILIR, SUMATERA SELATAN
Polyculture is a system of crop cultivation by planting two or more types of plants. The morphology of palm trees makes them suitable for polyculture with other plants, as they can provide shade for the plants underneath. Arthropods play a crucial role in the growth of sugar palms. Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) is a vegetable plant that has many benefits and is simple to cultivate. This research aims to identify the arthropods present on tomato plants and sugar palms grown in polyculture in Ulak Segelung Village, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra Province, on the same sugar palm. The study took place from June to October 2024, employing a purposive random sampling method on 35 lengthwise-arranged tomato plant plots. There were 3 types of traps used to trap arthropods in this study: the sweep net, yellow sticky trap, and light trap. The Department of Plant Protection at Sriwijaya University then carried out the arthropod identification. The identified arthropods obtained from this study amounted to 276, with 8 orders, 28 families, and 34 species. The Diversity Index (H') obtained a value of 2.94, which means that the diversity of arthropods on sugar palm land is moderate. The evenness index (E) obtained a value of 0.83, which means that the evenness of arthropods on the palm land is high. The Dominance Index (D), with a value of 0.09, indicates that there are no dominating species in the palm land
