PENGUJIAN PENGALAMAN PENGGUNA DENGAN METODE COGNITIVE WALKTHROUGH DAN SYSTEM USABILITY SCALE PADA WEBSITE GIWANG SUMSEL
Giwang Sumsel is a digital platform launched by the Cultural and Tourism Department of South Sumatra Province in 2021 to promote tourism and local potentials in the region. The website aims to provide information to tourists and facilitate accessibility to various tourism-related services. However, some users have reported issues with the user interface and suboptimal user experience, such as non-intuitive feature layout and unappealing design. This study aims to test the user experience using two methods, namely Cognitive Walkthrough and System Usability Scale (SUS), to identify issues in the user interface and user experience of the Giwang Sumsel website. The evaluation results show an effectiveness rate of 80% and efficiency of 69.6%, with an average SUS score of 47.75, indicating that the website falls into the "Not Acceptable" category. After redesigning and conducting usability testing on the redesigned user interface, a score of 99 was achieved, suggesting that the redesign was well-designed. Based on these findings, it is recommended to improve the user interface design to make it more appealing and intuitive, as well as to implement continuous updates to enhance user experience. This study is expected to contribute to the development of knowledge in the field of usability testing, particularly in applying the Cognitive Walkthrough and System Usability Scale (SUS) methods for website evaluation.
