REPRESENTASI ISU LINGKUNGAN KRITIK PEMERINTAH KEBAKARAN HUTAN DI SUMATERA SELATAN KARYA ABRIANSYAH LIBERTO
The role of journalism that is close to the community is seen as a Photography is one of the communication tools. Where a photo is able to form a world view into the human mind, even the results of the photo capture are more factual than paintings or drawings. The purpose of this study is to determine the meaning of the denotation of Abriansyah Liberto's photo on the world press photo media with the theme of haze, to determine the meaning of the connotation of Abriansyah Liberto's photo on the world press photo media with the theme of haze and to determine the myth of Abriansyah Liberto's photo on the world press photo media with the theme of haze. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Qualitative descriptive research. From the results of the study using Roland Barthes' semiotic concept, the meaning with three stages, namely denotation, connotation, and myth in the haze-themed photo by Abriansyah Liberto, namely the photographer wants to provide information to the wider community without any visual engineering and opinion. The connotative meaning that can be taken is the condition of the forest that has been completely burned, where the forest can protect the climate on the planet, protect against floods and soil erosion, provide water for human life and also grow food crops and valuable sources of medicinal plants.
