UJI KUALITAS PERAIRAN ANAK SUNGAI OGAN KERTAPATI BERDASARKAN INDEKS SAPROBIK PLANKTON DAN SUMBANGANNYA PADA PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI SMA
This study aims to assess the water quality of the tributary of the Ogan Kertapati River based on the saprobic index of plankton. The research was conducted at five station points determined through purposive sampling. The data analysis results include biodiversity, abundance, saprobic index, and the physicochemical parameters of the water. According to the research findings, plankton in the tributary of the Ogan Kertapati River were found to consist of seven classes: Bacillariophyceae, Chlorophyceae, Conjugatophyceae, Cyanophyceae, and Euglenophyceae as phytoplankton, and Ciliata and Crustacea as zooplankton. The plankton abundance index at Station 1 was 60.2 ind/l, Station 2 was 53.4 ind/l, Station 3 was 76 ind/l, Station 4 was 59 ind/l, and Station 5 was 48.4 ind/l. The plankton biodiversity index at Station 1 was 1.06, Station 2 was 1.98, Station 3 was 2.12, Station 4 was 2.17, and Station 5 was 1.85. The overall saprobic coefficient values ranged from 0.2 to 1, indicating the presence of β/αmesosaprobic and β-mesosaprobic phases. This suggests that the water quality of the tributary of the Ogan Kertapati River is at a moderate to light pollution level, with pollutants consisting of both organic and inorganic materials. The results of this study are contributed in the form of LKPD (Student Worksheet) for Phase E, Class X SMA with the topic of Environmental Changes.
