KEMAMPUAN COMPUTATIONAL THINKING PESERTA DIDIK KELAS VIII DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL NUMERASI MATERI TEOREMA PHYTAGORAS
Education in the 21st century faces rapid technological advances, where students are encouraged to develop skills such as computational thinking (CT), which allows them to understand and solve complex problems systematically, analytically and creatively. This research aims to describe the computational thinking abilities of class VIII students in solving numeracy problems on the Pythagorean Theorem material. The type of research used is descriptive with a quantitative-qualitative approach. The research subjects were students in class VIII.E of SMP Negeri 2 South Indralaya, consisting of 25 people. The data collection techniques used consist of written tests and interviews, with computational thinking indicators which include decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction and algorithms. Based on the results of data analysis, students' computational thinking abilities are in the medium category, with an average overall score of 53.89. The average value for each indicator is as follows; abstraction 64.89, decomposition 60, pattern recognition 48.44 and algorithms 42.22.
