ARTHROPODA YANG BERASOSIASI PADA TANAMAN REFUGIA Zinnia elegans DI PERKEBUNAN AREN Arenga pinnata DESA ULAK SEGELUNG, OGAN ILIR, SUMATERA SELATAN
Arthropod diversity needs to be preserved because its existence is very important for the balance of the ecosystem, one of which is by maintaining its natural habitat. One type of plant that is a habitat for arthropods is the sugar palm plant. The existence of paper flowers in addition to being a natural habitat for natural enemies is also to increase diversity. Zinnia elegans can attract many populations and types of predator and pollinator insects to come closer. Zinnia elegans has great potential to become a refugia for sugar palm trees in Ulak Segelung Village, Ogan Ilir, South Sumatra. This study aims to determine the diversity of arthropods on Zinnia elegans in sugar palm plantations and compare insect populations with previous studies and to find out what types of traps are most effectively used to capture arthropods around Zinnia elegans in Ulak Segelung Village, Ogan Ilir, South Sumatra. The method will use in this research is Purposive Random Sampling by make 7 plots with each plot containing 5 polybags of refugia plants. The diversity index of arthropods around Zinnia elegans refugia flowers was 1.02, indicating that the addition of Zinnia elegans flowers has not been able to increase the diversity of arthropods in sugar palm plantations. The arthropod evenness index reached a value of 1.12 high evenness which means that the evenness of arthropods creates high evenness in the sugar palm plantation due to the addition of Zinnia elegans refugia flowers.
