POTENSI TANAMAN REFUGIA Portulaca grandiflora TERHADAP KEANEKARAGAMAN ARTHROPODA DI PERKEBUNAN AREN (Arenga pinnata Merr.) DESA ULAK SEGELUNG, KABUPATEN OGAN ILIR, SUMATERA SELATAN
There are many insects associated with plants, one of which is the sugar palm plant. The presence of insects, especially pollinating insects or pollinators, in developing palm plants is one of the factors that can affect their growth because insects that act as pollinators are very helpful in the process of pollinating palm flowers. Purslane has the potential as a refugia plant because it has a striking color and is easily cultivated in Indonesia. The striking color of purslane flowers can attract the attention of arthropods such as predators, pollinators and parasitoids. This study aims to determine the effect of purslane refugia on increasing arthropod diversity in palm plants and to see the effect and effectiveness of traps used in palm plantations and this study aims to compare with research that has been done before. The research method used in this research is Purposive Random Sampling by making 7 plots with each plot containing 5 polybags of refugia plants. Based on the research that has been done shows the results that the use of traps significantly affects the number of arthropods obtained, based on these data that the most effective trap used is pitfall trap. The conclusion of this study is that the most effective trap to be used to capture arthropods in Wak Uban palm plantation, Ulak Segelung, Ogan Ilir, South Sumatra is pitfall trap.
